Robert P. Voorhees Oct. 27, 1926 -- June 29, 2004 Robert Paul Voorhees, 77, of Oakdale died Tuesday at Oak Valley Hospital. Mr. Voorhees was a lifelong resident of Oakdale. He was a salesman for Imperial Oil & Grease Co. for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a past president of Oakdale Dinner Club and a member of Oakdale Golf & Country Club and Oakdale Masonic Lodge Post 275. He is survived by his wife, Marcelyn Voorhees of Oakdale; children, David Voorhees of Westpoint, Steven Voorhees of Oceanside, Linda Oery of Modesto and Victoria Voorhees of Sonora; brother, Earl Voorhees of Modesto; sister, Merceita Ratto of Oakland; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oakdale Golf & Country Club. No public visitation. Oakdale Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
