EAST MOLINE -- Services for Steven T. "Steve" Van De Walle, of East Moline, will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, East Moline. Visitation is 6 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the mortuary. Mr. Van De Walle died Friday, Oct. 2, 1998, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Ill. He retired in 1995 after working for 20 years as a welder for A.W. Denhardt, East Moline. Mr. Van De Walle was born Oct. 15, 1954, in Moline. He married Raquel Martinez in 1971 in East Moline. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Halterman, Montgomery, Ala.; a son, Steven Van De Walle, Fort Carson, Colo.; two grandchildren; his mother, Aileen Knight, East Moline; a sister, Sherri Brassfield, East Moline; and a brother, Bruce Brassfield, East Moline.
