Jennie Jean Brassfield, 79, died Saturday at a Las Vegas hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Parsons, Kan. A retired registered nurse, she was retired from management in a hotel-casino and a 38-year resident of Las Vegas. She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Vogel of Las Vegas, Ruby Currigan of Omaha, Neb., Edith Bauer of Topeka, Kan., and Mary Hook of Redwood Valley, Calif.; and three grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern with graveside services at 1 p.m. at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family requests memorial donations be made to Salvation Army.
