Mrs. Bobbie Mae Dotson Brassfield, age 53, died Saturday, April 5 at her home in Houston. Funeral services were held Monday, April 7 at Abrams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Don Minnix officiating.
The daughter of the late Henry Dotson and the late Effie Mae Franklin of Pontotoc County, she was a homemaker and a former employee of Del Meade Factory in Okolona. A lifelong resident of Chickasaw County, she was a member of Saxon Memorial Nazarene Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Brassfield of Houston; five daughters, Stella Kilgore, Cathy Easley, Brenda Lancaster, Debbie Cook and JoAnn Brassfield, all of Houston; two sons, Charles Brassfield of Houlka and Warren Brassfield of Houston; four sisters, Maggie Styles and Mavis Brock, both of Salawis, California, O B Holley of Houlka and Luddie Swanson of Pontotoc; three brothers, Dorse Dotson of Woodland and Elvis Dotson and Willie Dotson, both of Houlka; 13 grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chester Brassfield, Troy Brassfield, bubba Blue, Ervin Buford, Ray Bevill and George Cheney.
Abrams Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of arrangements.
