- DONALD WAYNE BRASFIELD, JR., age 53, died on June 14, 2010 in the hospital from pneumonia in Costa Rica, Central America where Donald resided. Donald Brasfield was a stock and bond broker in Costa Rica for the last five years. He attended Messick High School and graduated from Hillcrest High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated with a BA and a BS from Arkansas State University. He was a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. Donald was a master diver, a martial arts expert, and held a Captain’s License for a vessel. Donald Brasfield, Jr. leaves his father, Donald Wayne Brasfield, Sr. of Memphis, Tennessee, his mother, Pat McDonald of Bartlett, Tennessee, his daughter, Jessica Biundo of Allentown, PA and his granddaughter, Leyla Biundo of Allentown, PA along with his stepfather, Joe Wood of Earle, Arkansas, his sister, Holli Wood of Marian, Arkansas, and Coker Wood of Florida (deceased), and his stepbrothers, Kenneth and Richard McDonald and stepsister, Paula Garcia of Memphis, Tennessee. A Memorial Service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 with visitation with the family from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Hope Presbyterian Church at 8500 Walnut Grove Road in Memphis, Tennessee. Please send donations to Hope Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.
