- Kirby Allen Brasfield, 60, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services took place today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. at the same location, with the Rev. Doug Burton officiating, assisted by Phil Russell. Special music included ?Count Your Blessings,? with organist Juan Manuel Senties and singer/guitarist Justin Trevio. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Roger and L.A. Brasfield, J.P. Guyton, David Blackwell, Lucy Cano and Noel Vega.
Mr. Brasfield was born on Oct. 13, 1943, in Slayton to Lyle Earle and Mildred Beatrice (Woodford) Brasfield. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Maria Lozano on April 11, 1988, in San Antonio, Venezuela. He was a Beeville resident and a business owner.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Edy Brasfield; a son, Haz Aaron Brasfield, both of Beeville; three daughters, Sueena Brasfield of Arkansas, Milda Alis Jackson of Midland and Amy Reineke of Waco; two brothers, Lyle Albert Brasfield of Richmond, Ga., and Roger Aaron Brasfield of Buda; and one sister, Mary Sue Dillon of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
