- I am looking for the children of Delois and Bobbie Brassfield. These children were adopte in Lubback, Texas. Their "Brassfield " names are: Deborah Lee, Frank Anthony, Mark, Thomas Earl, Michael Dale, and Danny Gene (deceased). I am the daughter of their mother's sister, Della . I am looking for my brother, Mark Brassfield. He was adopted by another family in 1965/1966 in Lubbock Texas. His mother was Delois Brassfield. His father was Bobby Brassfield. Bob Brassfield Services Slated
Funeral services for Bob Brassfield ,31-year-old truck driver who died following a shooting incident Saturday afgternoon , have been scheduled for Tuesday.
Justice of the Peace F. R. Land ruled following an inquest, that Brassfield died as the result of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Companions said Saturday that Brassfield was "playing with" a .22 caliber pistol which he had used earlier in target practice at Buffalo Lakes. He sustained a bullet wound above the right temple and died at Methodist Hospital shortly after he was taken there by a Rix Funeral Home ambulance.
The accident occurred at 1832 San Jose Drive.
Brassfield is survived by his wife and five sons, Dannie Gene, Thomas Earl, Frank Anthony, Michael Dale, and Mark, all of the home, 220 E.35th St., here; his mother , Mrs. Bertha Brassfield, Calhoun City, Miss., and three brothers and three sisters all residing in Mississippi.
Brassfield had been a Lubbock resident since 1960, when he moved here from Mississippi.
Services at 10 a.m. Tuesday will be in the W.W. Rix Chapel.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
