2863 Death of Mrs. Brasfield.
Mrs. Florence Hord Brasfield died Sunday morning at St. Luke's hospital in Kansas City where she had been about seven weeks for treatment. She had been in quite poor health several months. Mrs. Brasfield was a sister of M L. Hord and Miss Mary Hord of Plattsburg and Mrs. W. W. Lott of Edgerton. She was born in Clinton county and resided here until her marriage to W. R. Brasfield, who died about six years ago. After their marriage they lived at Smithville for five years, then moved to Garden City, about forty years ago where they rmaintained their residence until the death of her husband and wife. Mrs. Brasfield was the mother of two children, both of whom died in infancy. She is survived by two step children. The funeral was held at Garden City Monday afternoon. Mrs. Lott and M. L. Hord were at the hospital when their sister died, and attended the funeral at Garden City. Miss Mary Hord could not be there on account of her ill health. Mr. Brasfield was in the drug busi ness both in Smithville and Garden City.

This Indenture made and entered this 25th of Febuary 1857 between Alsee Reese of the county of Haywood and Stat of Tennessee of the one part and L. M. Jelks of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Alsee Reese for and in consideration of the
sum of Five hundred and thirty five dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold aliened and Conveyed unto the said L M Jelks and his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of Land situated lying and being in said County and State aforesaid in Cypress Creek bottom Bought from Lewis Daniel by the said Reese bounded as follows (to wit) Begining at a large white oak the N E corner of an Entry in the name of Ball & Johnson Runs south with said land to a sweet Gum, thence East to a white oak the south west corner of Littleton Medling's tract Thence north with said land to a stake the north west corner of said Land to a stake the north west corner of said Land on the south on the south boundary line of Porters Brassfield tract thence with said Land to the Begining Containing sixty three & 1/3 acres more or less with all and singulor the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaning to the only proper use benefit and behoof ---- the said L M Jelks his heirs and assigns forever, and Reese doth further bind himself his heirs and representatives to warrant & forever defend the ----- said -------- to the Jelks his heirs and assigns forever against the claim of all and other persons whatever In witness whereof the said Alsey Reese hath set his hand and seal date above written ---------- subscribed ---------

Delbert Brassfield, 69, of Hartford, Ark. died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a 40 year member of IBEW Local 700 and member of Faith Chapel in Hartford, Ark.
Survivors include, his wife, Marilyn Brassfield of the home; one daughter, Paula Frasher of Midland, Ark.; two sons, Marty Brassfield of Charleston, Ark., Richie Brassfield of Hartford, Ark.; three sisters, Audra Burns of Hartford, Ark., Marticia Pitchford of Hartford, Ark., Wanda Moore of Hartford, Ark.; one brothers, Leon Brassfield of Searcy, Ark.; five grandchildren, Kelli Holcomb, Keith Frasher, Ashley Brassfield, Dustin Brassfield and Jonathan Brassfield; one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were Sept. 17, 2001, at Faith Chapel in Hartford, Ark. with burial at Hartford Memorial Park in Hartford, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Hartford.
Pallbearers were Wendell Pitchford, Paul Basinger, Lonnie Sudbury, Tommy Johnson, Stan Jenkins, Claude Hoopengarner.

We are certain laughter and joy filled all of glory. Dena Kay Brasfield was born December 19, 1969. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Brasfield; maternal grandparents, Rev. Alton and Lucille Parker; and paternal grandparents, J.P. and Etta Mae Brasfield. 2892 Diana B. Reardon, 47, of Norton died unexpectedly on Friday, May 2, 2008 in Taunton. Born in Boston on Nov. 5, 1960, she was a dear daughter of Lucille D. (Landolfi) Lonergan and her husband Richard of Norton and Edmund W. Reardon and his wife Anne of Inverness, Fla.

Diana grew up in Dorchester and Norton, was educated in both the Dorchester and Norton public schools and had also attended Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown. She had formerly been employed for several years as an EMT for the American Medical Response Co. in Attleboro. A former volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, she had also attended St. Mary's Church in Norton. Diana had a deep love for animals and especially enjoyed helping out at Nine Lives in Norton. Family was also a very important part of her life. She had made her home in Norton for the past 37 years.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her loving sons, Jarod R. Masse of Whitman and Derek J. Masse of Norton. She was the devoted sister of Michael Reardon of Norton, Scott Reardon and his wife Linda of Sandwich, Kimberly L. Gattoni and her husband Michael of Attleboro, Brian Reardon and his wife Jess of North Easton and Daniel Reardon of Dorchester; and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited, will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 9 a.m. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (off Route 140, Taunton Avenue), Norton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 133 South Worcester St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Diana's family has requested that donations in her memory be made to Nine Lives of Norton, P.O. Box 548, Norton, MA 02766.
