6615 Gene Brasfield, 62, of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Dyess, Arkansas, to the late Willis "Rod" and Pauline Brasfield. He was an active member and custodian at Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie Kincade. Survivors include his wife MaryLou; sons Rodney of Pocahontas, Robert and Adam of Jonesboro; grandchildren KateLynn and Corey of Pocahontas and Zacchary of Dexter, Missouri; brother Bob of Jonesboro and sister Tammy Brasfield of Pocahontas. Funeral Services were held at Temple Baptist Church. Graveside services were at Oaklawn Cemetery. Jonesboro Sun, April 15, 2012.

Lived in Lynchburg, VA 1918-22. Lived inTrenton, TN in 1932. The Brasfield, Arkansas post office, established in Prairie Co., Ark on 5 Oct 1907 was named for him. They had 1 child - George Frederick Brasfield.

6646 George, Lloyd Melvin Lloyd Melvin George, 95, Kansas City, KS, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa. The Gathering for visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 23 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Stine & McClure Chapel, with funeral services immediately following. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Mr. George was born September 8, 1908, in Trenton, MO. He retired from General Motors in 1968, and was a member of General Motors Retirees and was treasurer of that group for 20 years. He was also a member of Raytown Masonic Lodge #391. He was a member of Roanoke Epworth Methodist Church, and attended Central Methodist Church for 20 years. He leaves his wife Anna Day George; and two stepchildren, Rocky Calahan and Gloria Stephenson; and several nieces and nephews. (Arr. D.W. 6650 Georgia Mason October 9, 1907 January 5, 2004 HILLSIDE, Ill. -- Georgia Ella Mason, 96, of Hillside, Ill., died Monday at Renaissance Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 9, 1907, at Gould, Ark., a daughter of the late Charles Brassfield and Minnie Brassfield. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church at Pine Bluff. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Robert Mason. Survivors include one son, Elijah Mason of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Ella Mae Smith of Chicago; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Galilee Baptist Church with the Rev. Crosby Brunson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in P.K. Miller Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
