| 7806 | KING - Kenneth Hubert Brasfield, 82, died Friday, November 14, 2008. He was born September 17, 1926 in Quinton, Alabama to Fayette Bernard and Sarah Matilda Snow Brasfield. Mr. Brasfield was a 1948 graduate of Auburn University, and retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, after 30 years of service. He had also served with the U. S. Air Force during WWII. He is survived by his wife Virginia Havens Brasfield; two sons, Ken Brasfield, Jr. and wife Diana of Middlebrook, Virginia, and John C. Brasfield and wife Laurie of King; three granddaughters, Jessica, Sallie, and Ginny Brasfield. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, November 16, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. David Childers officiating. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 725 W. Dalton Rd., King, NC 27021. | 7809 | Kirby Allen Brasfield, 60, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville. Visitation was held Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services took place today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. at the same location, with the Rev. Doug Burton officiating, assisted by Phil Russell. Special music included ?Count Your Blessings,? with organist Juan Manuel Senties and singer/guitarist Justin Trevio. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Roger and L.A. Brasfield, J.P. Guyton, David Blackwell, Lucy Cano and Noel Vega. Mr. Brasfield was born on Oct. 13, 1943, in Slayton to Lyle Earle and Mildred Beatrice (Woodford) Brasfield. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Maria Lozano on April 11, 1988, in San Antonio, Venezuela. He was a Beeville resident and a business owner. Survivors include his wife, Maria Edy Brasfield; a son, Haz Aaron Brasfield, both of Beeville; three daughters, Sueena Brasfield of Arkansas, Milda Alis Jackson of Midland and Amy Reineke of Waco; two brothers, Lyle Albert Brasfield of Richmond, Ga., and Roger Aaron Brasfield of Buda; and one sister, Mary Sue Dillon of Murfreesboro, Tenn. His daughter Elizabeth, my g-grandmother, is buried at Fairview Baptist Church off Emory Rd. between Halls & Gibbs communities. This parcel of land appears to be the same one Elizabeth later inherited in her father's will. After Elizabeth passed away in 1916, the old farm later was owned by my g-aunt, Harriet Cox/Walker; as kids, we used to visit her quite frequently in the summer months. ------------------------------------ Deed of Conveyance Absolem Hankins & Celey Hankins to John Major This Indenture made this 10th day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty six between Absolem Hankins and Celey Hankins of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Major of the same county and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Absolem Hankins hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said John Major, the following described tract of land containing eighty acres more or less, situate, lying in the County of Knox and State aforesaid, beginning at an elm on the north bank of Beaver Creek, thence north nineteen degrees west thirty four poles to a stake near a marked hickory, thence south forty five west, seventy poles to a stake near a small Mulberry on Julia Givins line, thence south thirty seven east with said line one hundred and eighteen poles to a stake near a marked black oak corner to Robert Smith and Smith Major, thence south forty four west eighty six poles to a stake in Donalsons old line, thence to the beginning. | 7824 | Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. - William Nathan “Bill” Dye, age 78, of Sunrise Beach, passed away, Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Kingman, Kan., the son of the late Albert Nathan and Dean Parsons Dye. On Aug. 1, 1969, in Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Helen Brasfield Walker, who survives of the home Bill was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingman, Kan., a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 1432 in Salina, Kan., and a past member of the Osage Community Elks Lodge No. 2705 in Laurie. Bill enjoyed woodworking, boating, and partying with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by his sons, William Dye and wife Shelly of Montgomery, Texas, and Lynn Walker and wife Sandra Hopkins of Columbia, Mo.; his daughters, Carla Woods of Gravois Mills and LeeAnne Brumm and husband Brad of Laurie; 13 grandchildren, Jeremy Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Amber Knight and husband Alex, Marissa Bonet and husband Miguel, Kyle Walker, Asia Walker, Allen Brumm, Delaney Brumm, Jessica Knipp and husband Nathan, Nicole Bloom and husband Dustin, Danielle Norman and husband Cory, Mollie Dye, and William Trae Dye; six great-grandchildren, Analyce, Sarah, Kyler, Rahona, Hunter, and Addie; his brothers, Bobbie Dye and wife Elan of Salina, Kan., and Clarence Dye and wife Brenda of Farmington, N.M.; his brother-in-law, Franklin Brasfield and wife Hilma of Rosamond, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. | 7849 | Lane Garrett (Jackman) Brassfield, 8-year-old son of Rebekkah and Jason Brassfield, died Sept. 9 at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City after his lifelong battle with muscular dystrophy. Services were Tuesday at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City and interment followed in Mustang Cemetery under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service. Lane was born Oct. 16, 2001, in Oklahoma City, and had lived in Union City and Yukon before moving to south Oklahoma City. He was a second-grader at Fisher Elementary. Lane loved life, and his spirit will live on through organ donation and his contribution to research on myotubular myopathy. Survivors include his parents; a brother, Chason; two sisters, Jaden and Keegan; grandparents, Ronald and Dianne Jackman of El Reno, and Cheryl and John Brassfield of Oklahoma City; and great-grandparents, Blake and Ethel Coe of Perry and Mildred Woodall of Mustang.
