He was 38 years old and he was sentenced to 11 years, with his sentence scheduled to expire on May, 13, 1891. He was actually released in October of 1898. His occupation was listed as a farmer. He was born in Du Quoin, Perry County, Illinois. He was transfered to the prison from the Nebraska Hospital for the Insane. His identifying marks and scars were listed as: 5'6" tall with a dark complexion, with grey hair and green (?) eyes.1 small vacination mark on left arm. 1 & 1/2" scar on back of left 1st finger. 1 small scar on right elbow. 1" scar on left kneecap. 1 narrow scar near big toe on right foot. 1 small brown mole 6" above navel. Teeth sound and even. 163 lbs. Had a gray mustache. Feet were 10" long and he wore a size 7 shoe. | 9362 | Neil Eugene Murphy Neil was born November 7, 1947 in Aberdeen, WA and died August 28, 2019 in Kent, WA after fighting a good battle with dementia and atypical Parkinson's disease. Neil was adopted by Henry S. Murphy and Dorothy H. Murphy when he was six months old. Neil was the only child. He grew up in Seattle's Madison Park neighborhood. Neil was a proud Garfield Bulldog, graduating from Garfield High School's Class of 1966. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in business/marketing. Neil always loved to work in the fields that involved and helped people. He managed several restaurants in Seattle in the 1980s. He loved traveling and embraced the various cultures of the world. He worked as Regional Coordinator for NACEL Open Door Student Exchange Program from 1991 to 2001. He also worked for several non-profit organizations. Neil was involved in managing youth programs, serving in a low-income family program, and helping individuals who were incarcerated return to employment. Neil was also self-employed and managed property in Tacoma, WA. Volunteering was a big part of Neil's life and he spent a lot of time working with different non-profit organizations, including Bumbershoot, Seattle Goodwill, and Festa Italiana. He loved Seattle and the many festivals, music events and bands that originated in the city. Neil had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh, and he loved jokes. Neil felt life was something that should be celebrated every day with friends, family, and music. He was sincere and a friend to all he met and would go out of his way for anyone in need. He was humble and kind to everyone, taking an interest in people from different cultures and backgrounds. He was genuinely caring and thoughtful. Neil faced health challenges in recent months, but he was well-liked by his caregivers and continued to share his humor, sweetness and smiles with everyone. Neil is survived by his wife of 19 years of marriage, Jennifer Murphy, who he met while working for NACEL Open Door and hosting international students from China. Neil will be greatly missed by his wife, his sweet pet dog Sherman, his cousins, Lee and Tuckie Price, Rob and Cindy Roduin, Dave Roduin, as well as numerous other family members and lifelong friends. She was born May 3, 1908, in Decatur, Ala., to the late John Gregory Montgomery Jr. and Lonie Parham Montgomery. She lived in Decatur and the Splunge community, and in Amory for the past 82 years. She married Aubrey Lee Brasfield in 1925; he died in 1963. She was a member of the UMW, Modern Homemakers, DAR, UDC, the church choir and the garden club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, working as a seamstress and cooking. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with the Rev. Rusty Keen and the Rev. David Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory. Survivors include one son, Lee Montgomery Brasfield (Lois) of Amory; one sister, Evelyn Kennedy of Amory; four grandchildren, Vicki Horne Cunningham, Jack D. Horne Jr. (Libby), Ricky Lee Brasfield and Bradley Brasfield (Neita); eight great-grandchildren, Whit Brasfield, Lindsay Brasfield, Taylor Brasfield, Katy Cunningham McCurley, Jay Cunningham, Kayla Horne, Kerri Horne and Rorie Thornton; two nieces, Ann Montgomery Lusk and Becky Kennedy Banks. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Bettianne Horne; one grandson, Mark David Brasfield; one sister, Maye Montgomery; and one brother, Charles Montgomery. The dec'd was 78 years of age and was born in Clinch county, Va. He served throughout the Civil War as a member of the Union Army... resident of Ironton for fifty years... was in the grocery business at Eighth and Adams. The dec'd is survived by seven children and 17 grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Kathie Moore and husband Jackie of Franklin, TN; and two grandchildren, Julia Scarborough and T. John Moore of Franklin. She leaves as well her sister-in-law, Varion Lloyd and her brother-in-law, Jack James. Neoma graduated from Alamo High School. She was married on June 2, 1928. She lived most of her life in Trenton. She was a charter member of the Trenton Garden Club, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star and served along with her husband as Grand Marshal of the Teapot Festival. She worked as church secretary at first United Methodist Church, Trenton and as a librarian at Gibson Memorial Library. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. Visitation will take place from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 22, 2006 followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Trenton.
