An accomplished pianist and accompanist, she was actively involved in the music programs in the churches her husband served as Minister of Music. She carried that talent and skill with her when Rev. Eller held pastorates in ID, CA and VA. She especially enjoyed working with children´s choirs. Cornelia was also proficient as a seamstress and needleworker, taking pleasure in quilting, crocheting and needlepoint. In retirement she and her husband returned to ID residing in Nampa since 1989. A celebration of Cornelia´s life will be held at Nampa Church of the Brethren on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. A second celebration will be held at a later date in Roanoke, VA. She will be interred in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA beside her husband. | 9629 | Obituary for Lewis M McCoy Memorial services for Lewis Marquiss Mark McCoy will be held Tuesday, October 27th at 2:00 pm at The First United Methodist Church of Newcastle with Rev. Robert Firebaugh officiating. The services will be followed by a gathering at the Newcastle Senior Center. Burial will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota. Mark died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22nd at Weston County Health Services. Mark was born December 21, 1927 at the Wantz Ranch north of Newcastle. He was the oldest of eight children born to Lewis Vernon and Ellen Wantz McCoy. After graduating from high school Mark enlisted in the US Navy, serving on the USS South Dakota during 1945 and 1946. After his discharge, he returned to Newcastle where he was the sales manager for Naramore Ford and later the Chevy Garage. Mark married Nellie G. Currey on March 19, 1949 in Newcastle, where they spent their entire life. During the late 1940�s, Mark was a pilot and member of the civil air patrol. He continued flying for many years. He also served in the Wyoming National Guard during the 1950�s. Mark was a member of Inyan Kara Shrine Club, Newcastle Masonic Lodge #13, A.F. & A.M, Newcastle Lions Club, VFW Post #2516, Wyoming Republican Party, Newcastle Country Club, and the First United Methodist Church. He also served on the North East Wyoming Economic Development Board and as a Weston County Commissioner for eight years. Mark is survived by his daughter Karen Harold Butts of Houston, Roxanne Jim Latham of Casper, and Dan Carol McCoy of Newcastle; grandchildren, Brett Butts of Austin TX, Brian Butts, Houston, TX, Jodi Edgar, Houston, TX, Jason Latham, Surprise, AZ, Ben Latham, Laramie, WY, Jacob McCoy, Newcastle; three step grandchildren, Susie Calison, Jeremy Moore and Jason Moore; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Nadine Jursnick, Seattle, WA, Iris Genoff Newcastle, WY, Gene McCoy Newcastle, WY, Deloris Press Portland, OR, Robert McCoy Ardmore, OK, and special friend Kathy Watson Newcastle, WY. Mark was preceded in death by his wife Nellie, his parents, and his brothers Donald and Rex McCoy. His adventurous life led to many interesting stories shared at morning coffee. S. endowment house at Salt Lake. They are the parents of a son, and also have a foster son. Their son, John Parrish, is a well-known musician throughout Utah and the entire United States. He is a graduate in voice culture at Paris and spent several years in New York, and for the past four years has been head of the voice department at Christian college at Columbia, Mo. He will arrive home by airplane from Columbia to atted the anniversary celebration.
