Austin (TX) American Statesman - February 19, 1879 Mr. David Browder, of Lee county, died of punomonia at Mrs.Robert's boarding house Monday night afte an illness of but four or five days. He was summoned here as a witness in the Federal Court and brough on the sickness that cost him his life by sleeping in a draft between two open windows. The wife and a brother and two or three citizens were with deceased during his last hours. The Masons followed the remains to the grave yesterday afternoon. Th poor woman who was brought hither from Lee county with four little children and her husband is left in utter destitution by the husband's death. He was a witness in some whisky case, was taken sick and the wife came to watch at his bedside. He died yesterday morning and was buried in the afternoon by the Masons.
