| 3193 | Erastus (E.O.) married Sarah C. White. She was one of two ladies captured by the Indians, he was in the rescue party. I'm not sure if he was assigned to Custer's command, the Kansas Volunteers, or another. After the rescue of Sarah and a Mrs. Morgan I don't know except they wound up getting married approx. six months after the rescue. Norman Charles Brooks (brother to E.O.) their father was Alvin Brooks.there was other bros. and sisters which I didn't name, could get them for you if you desired. The raid, actually there was at least two, the one when they took Sarah captive, occured Oct 13, 1868, rescued March 22,1869 according to an article published in the Kansas City Star. Mrs. Morgans' maiden name was Anna Brewster and her capture was in a separate raid. Does that clarify anything? Hubert | BROOKS, Erastus Otis (I40932)
